The 2013 Bar Awards

On a vibrant evening of September 24th, 2013, the Bar Awards celebrated the talents and achievements of bartenders and industry insiders in grand style. With five dynamic bars set up, over 650 guests from the bar community indulged in an array of meticulously mixed drinks, with 300 cocktails served at each station.

The event kicked off with guests being warmly welcomed by our hostesses Janah and Nicola, who expertly served Cuba Libres straight from Trolley'd taps—a perfect example of the innovative offerings by a superb mobile bar. The night unfolded into a palate-pleasing journey, where award attendees enjoyed specialty drinks. Guests savored Penicillin cocktails crafted by Petr Dvoracek and Joel Bennetts. Mitch O’Bushell presented his Smoked Tommy's Margaritas that were a sensational hit. Further enhancing the adventurous spirit, Jeremy Thomas introduced Riberry Manhattans in bottled format for an added twist.

In a unique setup resembling a cockpit, Christopher Thomas alongside Zac Fordham went all out mixing Cheplevskys, adding an exclusive touch to their beverage creations. Each mixologist showcased their skills, combining classic techniques with personal flair, embodying the spirit of the Bar Awards.

The entire occasion proved to be a tremendous success, attributed to the relentless efforts of everyone involved. A particular acknowledgment must be given to Moose, whose logistic prowess in the days leading up to the evening was indispensable. On the multimedia side, Sam Couzens from Paper Dragon captured stunning photographs that encapsulated the essence of the night, while Felix from Analog Cabin provided captivating cinematographic documentation.

This spectacular annual gathering not only highlighted the outstanding talents within the bar industry but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and recognition among its members. It was an unforgettable night, filled with unmatched creativity and expertise in the art of mixed beverages, making it a significant highlight in the calendar for bar professionals every year.
